Couples Therapy

Sometimes patterns of communication get in the way of building deeper connections and leave us feeling misunderstood or overwhelmed in our relationships. These patterns can make it difficult to see eye-to-eye when experiencing grief, life transitions, increased stress, or uncertainty about what’s next. By exploring the factors that contribute to both healthy and unhealthy dynamics, therapy becomes a collaborative environment where each partner can practice giving and receiving empathy. Whatever challenges are confronting your relationship, couples therapy can be a place to deepen connection and find collective healing.

As a therapist, I strive to help couples better understand their relationship dynamic so that they can interpret and interrupt unhealthy patterns in and out of the therapy room. I work with couples to create a space where each person can explore the impact of their unique history, identity, and experiences. By deepening empathy and strengthening your bond, I strive to help you learn communication strategies that you can use now and apply to future periods of stress.

My goal is to help you empower yourself through deeper understanding and evidence-based practices. In attending to our relationships with ourselves and others, we are gifted opportunities to reflect on past influences so that we can practice new ways of being in the present and the future.
